XM Killed the Radio Star
I was in Taco Bell today, and within the scope of about 10 min, I had heard several horrible modern cover versions of classic songs from the 60′s and 70′s playing through the ceiling speakers. When an atrocious soul-music imitation of Steve Miller Band’s “Fly Like an Eagle” came on, I realized in horror that I was listening to an all-cover-song channel!
Why????! What kind of sick person came up with that idea?! Who in their right mind would listen to good music being continuously slaughtered like that?
What will XM radio think of next? Perhaps an all-Tom-Jones channel? Perhaps a station that plays “We Built This City” all day long?

I think XM actually stands for eXtra-Malevolent or eXtremely-Monstrous radio. If God gave rock and roll to us, then it’s the Devil who’s trying to take it away!

OK, I’ll admit my ignorance. What does XM stand for? Enlighten me, please.
