Grocery List of Confusion

A Very Odd Grocery ListOn my family’s refrigerator at home is a small dry-erase board which apparently contains some type of grocery/to-do list. The list has been there for probably more than a year, and it seems to be amended quite regularly, each time becoming more and more… uh… interesting. Click on the picture to the left to see the current state of the list.

Some of my favorite items (notice the spelling) include

  • Salid Bowl
  • Gold bars
  • Swiss bank account
  • Martin house (this item actually appears twice, so it must be important)
  • Step stool w/ levitation
  • Nuclear warhead
  • Owe JRM (Jedidiah R. McClurg) $160000
  • Gas tripod
  • Fluid tripod
  • Solid tripod

What does any of this mean? I have absolutely no clue.

What about ‘time machine’? Maybe it’s referring to the book, perhaps reminding someone to check it out from the library.
Or perhaps that’s really what the McClurg brothers are building under the guise of a ‘Christmas light show’. Shall we ever know???

Or, what about “Sherman Tank”? Someone planning for a world takeover?

Clever, Josiah, insinuating that some one else added “Sherman Tank” to the board, thus diverting suspicion from a certain recently outed member of COOKBEEF.

Yeah Josiah… that looks an awful lot like your handwriting. When you’re planning an evil scheme, you should at least disguise your handwriting. I would’ve thought your COOKBEEF experience had taught you that.

Bethany, I’m pretty sure that “time machine” doesn’t refer to the book, judging from the capitalization (or lack thereof). Due to security issues, I am unable to comment on any time-traveling capabilities the Christmas Light Show may have. So yeah… sadly, you will probably never know the intended meaning of that phrase.
