Concert Ticket

Normally, I don’t post advertisements on my blog. However, this is an advertisement which is coupled with an important lesson!

The advertisement… I’m trying to get rid of my ticket to the Bob Dylan show in Iowa City this Wednesday (Oct. 24th, 2007) at 7:00pm. It’s a floor seat, Section MF-3, Row 8, seat 16 at Carver Hawkeye Arena. I paid $67.00 for it. Currently, floor seats are all sold out, so if you want to go to the show, this is the ticket for you. Plus, my asking price is unbeatable (I’ll give it away for any amount between $0 and $67). If you (or anyone you know) is interested, contact me ASAP.

Now for the important lesson. The moral of this story is… think before you press the “purchase” button. It was only until after I had hit the button that I started thinking to myself, “You know, that concert is on a Wednesday, and I have a weekly commitment on Wednesday nights!” Of course, I could shirk my responsibilities at my church‘s AWANA meeting, but that night’s meeting happens to be “Crazy Hair Night,” which means a once-in-a-lifetime chance to do something really weird with my hair. I wouldn’t miss that for the world. Plus it’s good to be responsible and stuff like that.
