Thanks

On this Thanksgiving morning, I’ve been thinking about some things that I’m thankful for.

Here’s my “top three” list…

  1. My family. I thank God that I have such a great family. They have always been there for me. They have helped me in so many ways. I can’t even begin to imagine where I would be without them.
  2. My friends. There are so many amazing people that God has placed in my life. Their Christlike attitudes and actions constantly challenge my overly-negative outlook on life. It’s becoming more and more difficult for me to maintain my doom-and-gloom mindset… and that’s a great feeling!
  3. Myself. I’m thankful for the person that God made me to be. That’s a relatively new attitude in my life. I’ve wasted a lot of time wishing I was someone else (“If only I could be more popular, more outgoing, etc. …”).

There is so much more that I could say about these (and other things that I’m thankful for), but alas! There’s just not enough time!

I would love to hear your thoughts about what Thanksgiving means to you!

Josiah showed me your blog. I thought it was really good. One thing I’m thankful for is … a nice house to live in — and YOU! :-) Have a good day! Miss you!

It is encouraging to hear that you realize the value of a grateful heart. I’m still working on that attitude.

Something I am very grateful for is the children God gave me. God has taught me more through all of you than I could ever begin to teach anyone.

I’m also thankful that God loves us enough to not leave us the way we are, but to constantly offer opportunities for us to grow and mature. I’m still working on that also. : )
