Nice Guys Finish Last

Due to this blog’s standards of decency and propriety, I cannot say what I’m really thinking right now, so the following paragraph(s) will have to serve as an approximation…

I’m sick of mean people. I’m sick of society showing favoritism to those mean people. I’m sick of getting trampled underfoot because I’m not mean enough.

In short, I’m sick of living in the “real world.” Maybe I’ll join a monastery or something.

May I recommend Psalm 73 to you? I think you’ll find it both (a) realistic and (b) encouraging.

I can see where your coming from Jed, it does seem like the bad is rewarded instead of the good a lot. I agree with Jeff, Psalm 73 is the realistic truth. Those people who are not following God but instead the world’s way are going to see how they were SO wrong in the end. I am actually kind of sad for them because they are blind.

Thanks Mr. Wheeler and Rebekah. Psalm 73 is definitely an encouragement.

And you’re right, Rebekah… it’s a sad thing to not follow God. Really, I’m more sad than angry when I think about the state of the world. I guess I should probably try to reach out and make the world a less sad place, instead of disappearing into my shell.
