Late Christmas Gift
I made a simple web-based game! Click on the image to play!
You can move the green “person” left and right by pressing “Z” and “X” on the keyboard. The LEFT/RIGHT arrow keys rotate the “gun” and the SPACE key shoots a ball. The goal is to shoot the balls through the moving “holes” in the sides of the screen. You lose points if a ball hits you, so beware!!
If you achieve a score that you’re particularly proud of, press “Finish” and type your name and email address (your email will be kept private) and press “Submit.” Your score will be posted as a comment on this article.
This game is dedicated to my friends the Harpoles.

BTW, I didn’t loose points when the balls hit me. Unless that’s the explanation for why my score was rejected. Maybe my score was negative.

Thanks for playing the game everybody!! I’ve always wanted to make something with semi-realistic gravity, and this was what came to mind.
Bethany, nice work with the huge score! Terribly sorry it didn’t register correctly. 
I’m still investigating that bug. It’s weird, because the commenting thing works some of the time, and sometimes it just fails for no explainable reason. I think it might be a WordPress thing that I’m not using correctly.
Oh, and you only lose .25 points when a ball hits your player, and it has to hit exactly in the center (the pivot point of the gun). Your point total can’t drop below zero.

Thanks! This is a neat game…but I don’t seem to have enough fingers. I can’t move the little player, shoot, aim and pivot all at the same time! I suppose this comes from never playing computer or nintendo games…I prefer Scrabble.

Considering I can hardly point and click the mouse on the Start menu, I’m not even going to try this. But it looks fun, and I’m impressed with all of your skills (and those of all of the players).
