GRE Test
I am somewhat nervous, because I am going to be taking the GRE exam from 8am – 12pm tomorrow. The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is a computer-based exam used by most graduate schools as a factor in determining acceptance to graduate programs.
I haven’t really studied for it at all, but I took a complete practice test (from the makers of the real test), and I was pretty happy about my scores (my verbal score was very good, and my math score was about average). So if I can duplicate my performance, I think my GRE scores should be acceptable to the U of I.
I’m not sure if I really want to pursue graduate school, but I’m thinking about at least applying, and seeing what happens.
So I would appreciate your prayers as I attempt to remain calm and not get incredibly stressed out about the exam.

I, too, hope they go well, and we’ll be praying for it.
If you are going into Engineering, how can your verbal be very good and your math just average? Is the GRE specific (in your case, for engineering students), or general (like the SAT; those applying to law, business schools, etc., would be taking the same one)?

Thanks, Nathan!!
The GRE (the one I took, at least) is a general test, made by (I think) the same people that make the SAT. It basically a requirement for most graduate programs (engineering, math, physics, business, etc.) at any university. I think law students might take a different exam (LSAT?). And don’t med students take the MCAT instead? You’ll have to tell me how that works.
Oh, and I ended up scoring much higher on the math section on the real test (I wrote another post about it). So thanks for your prayers!!
