Mysterious Metaphors

Author Jerry B. Jenkins (best known for his work with the Left Behind series) is the king of bizarre metaphors. Check out this one (taken from book 12 of the Red Rock Mysteries series)…

That one wins the prize!

Of course, your father’s reading style adds a whole new dimension to the “bizarre” part, right? : )

That Jenkens is a riot! ;-) Remember the one about “The sun was the color of cheeseburgers — and the air as refreshing as a milkshake…”

Hm, I wonder what Mr. Jenkins would score on the writing portion of the GRE? Perhaps Jed should adopt some of his style.

Hey that’s a good idea, Mr. Wheeler! Maybe a Jenkins-like writing style is just what I need to revolutionize and revitalize this blog!

Josiah… haha yeah that’s another classic! I had forgotten about that one.

Mom, you’re right… that’s definitely a factor! :)
