Amazing Grace
Tonight I watched the film Amazing Grace (2006), which is the story of 18th Century English politician William Wilberforce.
This movie is very nicely done, and it is very enlightening and moving. I had no idea just how influential William Wilberforce was! He played a crucial role in ending the slave trade in Great Britain.
Wilberforce was a true hero. He spent the majority of his life fighting for what he knew was right. Actually, the movie was very convicting to me, because I tend to be a bleeding heart rather than an actual reformer. Wilberforce’s story is a great reminder that it’s not enough just to have ideas (e.g. “such-and-such social condition is bad”)… I need to take action if I really want to see change.
If you haven’t seen this movie, watch it ASAP. It’s excellent.

Yep, it’s great, Bex! Definitely watch it if you get the chance.
That Chris Tomlin song sounds great. I’ll have to check it out.

This sounds really good, jed. I saw a music video of Chris Tomlin’s version of the song amazing grace and I think it had clips of this movie in it.
