Cluelessness
Lately, I’ve been reading through the gospel of Matthew. Jesus’ conversation with his Disciples in Matthew 16:5-12 never ceases to make me chuckle. Those Disciples… they were just so dumb sometimes!
But then my smile starts to fade as I realize that I’m the exact same way. It takes me way too long to figure out the simple lessons that God is trying to teach me.
I’m tired of making juvenile discoveries like, “Wow, when I avoid procrastination, my life gets less stressful,” or “Wow, if I treat others the way I’d like to be treated, they don’t get mad at me quite as often.” I’m tired of being spiritually clueless.
Fortunately, the Disciples found a cure for their cluelessness… spending more time with Christ. I need to do the same.
