The Comet's Flame

Yesterday, my friend Bethany H. and I were discussing ways I could use my future “high-powered engineer’s salary” to further the spread of the Gospel through funding of missions work.

Although I don’t have that large steady income yet, I’m still convicted because I already have way more than a lot of people have (I have a nice place to live, a car, loads of electronics equipment, no debt, and even some extra cash in my bank account), yet I use the majority of it for selfish purposes.

I want to start being more generous right now (instead of waiting until I’m older or more financially secure). I like the lyrics of the Rebecca St. James song which says, “…all this world can give cannot compare to the joy that comes from giving away.”
