Carrie Underwood
I just got back from the Carrie Underwood concert in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Some girls from school and I decided that it would be awesome to go see her in concert, since we are huge fans of American Idol (for those of you who don’t know, Carrie was the 4th season winner) and pop/country music in general. So we all piled into my car and headed out at around noon yesterday.
After making about a bazillion pit-stops (my friends insisted on stopping for lunch, etc.), we got to the Van Andel Arena at about 7pm and found our seats (first row, lower bowl… about 20 feet from the stage). The show started at 7:30, and the opening act was country singer/songwriter Josh Turner. He was… okay.
Then Ms. Underwood started her set at about 8:30pm. And wow… she is sooooooooo cute! She just looked simply amazing, and her outfit and cowboy boots were super stylin’. She sang many songs from her new album Carnival Ride, and also performed several classics like “Jesus Take the Wheel” and “We’re Young and Beautiful.”
The show ended at about 10pm, and we decided to hang out by Carrie’s tour bus and try to get autographs. Carrie came out at a little after 11pm, and amazingly, she signed my copy of Carnival Ride!! She said that she liked my hair and asked if I was in a band. I told her no, but that I wished I was. She said I should audition for a spot in her band! Haha… nice! Maybe I will do that.
We got back to Iowa City at around 5am. My friends described the concert as “the best ever.” I wouldn’t call it the best ever, but it was definitely super good. I dropped people off in IC and headed back home to type up this review. I wish I could include more detail, but I’m really tired… good night, everybody!

Oh, dude. The joke’s on me. I just found out that today is April Fool’s Day. That was a joke. So you can quit laughing at me.
You did some good research, though. ‘Cause Carrie was in Grand Rapids last night.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Oh man that was awesome, Bethany. I can’t believe my evil prank worked so well!!! Thanks for your participation. 
But now, Mr. W. & Bethany, it’s your turn. You need to orchestrate a practical joke to make someone feel even more foolish!!

Whoa! Where’s the real Jed, and what have you done with him? “we are huge fans of American Idol ” ? “wow… she is sooooooooo cute!” ? “she liked my hair” ? Did your sister write this?
Seriously though, that’s really cool that you got to go see Carrie. My cousin would have killed to be in your shoes last night.
