Project Gutenberg

Perhaps you already know about the site Project Gutenberg. If not, you need to check it out, because it is one of the coolest ideas on the internet. Basically, it is an immense digital library containing the full texts of many literary works whose copyrights have expired (which includes the majority of classic novels).

I am currently reading Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park (I know, I know… it is taking me forever to finish that book! Not because I do not like it, but because of school, etc.). Project Gutenberg even has a beautifully-formatted PDF version of it!

Also, I have been reading some poetry by Edgar Allan Poe. You can find a complete collection of his poems on Project Gutenberg (if you have not read any of his poetry, you simply must read “Silence,” “A Valentine,” and “The Raven”).

Typically, when I want to read a book, I prefer to purchase a hardback copy if possible. But sometimes, I am too lazy to go to the store, or perhaps the store does not have the book I am looking for. In these cases, Project Gutenberg is an excellent resource!
