A Prayer
God, I come before You asking for Your forgiveness.
Yet again, I have allowed the transient things of the World
To impede my relationship with You.
Yet again, I have foolishly blundered through life on my own,
Even though I knew that I needed Your help.
Please take control of my life. I give it back to You.
Replace my bitterness with love.
Replace my sorrow with joy.
Replace my confusion with peace.
Make me into the person that You want me to be,
And show me how I can serve You.

Sadly, it’s much more difficult to actually surrender to God than it is to say these words… I hope that I really mean it this time.
